I have bought hP dv7 4294nr 64 bit laptop .Windows 7 was installed on it with recovery.I tried to install ubuntu and now I am unable to boot windows. Even if I try to install Windows7 it is not showing the partitions. It would be great if someone can provide me the recovery disk contents for this model.

If you call HP customer service they can sell you one and ship it to you.

You can also download a legal copy of W7, use your OEM key, and just install the OS fresh without all the HP crapware.

You can load the Intel Rapid Storage Technology F6 diskette drivers, which you can download at the Intel Download Center. The latest version (10.6.0.1002) is available below:

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20181

You can alternatively use the direct download links listed in the NBR driver thread, under Intel Rapid Storage Technology (SATA AHCI) INF Install:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...xxx-dv7-5xxx-dv7-6xxx-envy-17-2xxx-intel.html

Once you have downloaded the appropriate package, unzip the contents to a USB flash drive. You can then load the drivers from the flash drive during Windows installation.
