Which one do you prefer to burn discs or dvds? I've heard their are some bugs in 7...![]()
-
I've pretty much heard the same. The 6 version seems to be the prefered. If I remember right, 7 is a major resource hog and has just too many bugs that were ticken' people off.
-
I'm more than satisfied with Nero6. Don't see any new feature in Nero7 which makes it worth spending good money on. I was stuck using Nero5 for quite a long time until I realised all the good things Nero6 brought with it.
-
you are right. Nero 7 has some bugs, one I have seen is that when I burn a cd or dvd, the label I set remains on the CD/DVD Drive, even when I remove the cd/dvd from it. it sits there till I restart the pc!
-
I prefer nero 7 but it requires that you update directX.
-
nero 6 gets my vote. Never had a problem with it.
-
6.6 came with my laptop so its what I use. Works fine for my needs so far^^
-
Here's a page that lists all the new features in 7, and a 50% off offer for upgrades from 6x to 7.
-
I use Nero 6, then again I never tried 7 however, my friend said there isn't much of a difference besides the interface? I'm not sure the validity of that statement though..
-
I've used both, currently using 7.
Haven't ran into any bugs with it, but it does have a lot of unnecessary junk that you can simply choose not to install.
It does come with NeroScout which is very annoying, no option to not install it and I had to look online on how to uninstall.
Nero 6 is the way to go, everything you need, nothing you don’t. -
I installed nero 7 and opted not to install all the other junk (only burningROM) just like instapho said. No bugs encountered. Used it only for backing up data in both CD and DVDs. I use Alcohol to burn ISOs.
6.6 is highly recommended. no need to upgrade. Go 7 if you hate money. -
Thanks for all the replies.
Nero 6.6 or 7?
