    Hello

I'm trying to burn a DVD-R but Nero keeps on give me an error.

I have copied a DVD on HD and when using Nero to back it up on a DVD-R it gives me the error message:
    "Unable to recover TOC"
"Could not perform start of disk at once"

    Am I missing something?

Can anyone explain for me...thanks for your help1!
    Regards

Do you have InCD installed? If so get rid of it. Trying some different media might help as well.

InCD is Nero's packet writing software. It allows you to drag and drop files within Windows Explorer. It often causes the TOC issue. You can remove it from Add/Remove programs in control panel.

Trying some different discs may or may not help, but you can't rule it out unless you try. Upgrading Nero if your key allows may help.

    hahahha you re right

I tried another disc...same brand and it did work :p

dont know the reason. Trust me, it was new...
Even the sound when the drive is reading it was different from each other...

    Another quest....
In the Nero express you can also swith to Nero ROM...by clicking on the NERO Button on the bottom...
When I click it instead of bringing the NERO ROM an small box is shown showing the about of the program and a link to the nero site...

How can I swith to the more complex Nero ROM...?
    Thanks

DVD blanks vary more in quality than CD do. especially if you did not buy good media to start with.

and you might not have the whole nero ROM program, only the express version. which would explain the link you see, and most likely it has an offer to buy the full version.

Yes try a different brand as opposed to a different disc.

yes it might be ... its a freeware software...
It came with my new laptop...it seems it has the full Nero...(assuming)
Even on the manual, it says so. It doesn't mention any further upgrades...

    Thanks for all the help!!
