Is nero still one of the best burning programs out there, or is there something leaner that does more now?

ETA. This is probably a dumb question. I've used Nero for years, but I had a mac for a while and I'm out of the loop now.

i say all around yes nero is best, but there are some specialty tasks that I have to use alcohol 120%, or diskjuggler for.

Nero is IMO one of the better ones, but I usually also have Alcohol 120% for certain purposes.

Nero - as others have noticed and so have I, has become a touch bloated.

So while it gets the job done pretty well - also for me when I needed it,
do go through the list of instal options and get rid of anything that you do not need.

Just make sure you only install Nero Burning ROM and Nero Vision and you will be fine. Nero now contains like 10 apps that you don't need (bloatware)

i use cover designer & express for almost everything as far as nero, that and drivespeed comes in handy for testing.

Why would it need more then software to just burn with? I hate over time companies always make things bloated.

I think I'll pick it up. I've always had good success with nero.

Concur on this - been using it for over two years on several systems - just keeps getting better. New version even burns Blurays and it worked great.

I love Nero and always have. I just got 9 and I'm happy with it and use quite a few apps built into it like for basic video edits etc...but nero 9 took 1 hour to install. Vista only took 25 mins to install on the same machine. How bloated is nero getting?

can anybody tell me if the time remaining to complete a burn get`s more accurate the more disk`s you burn as it seems well out to me!
