Hey guys, when I try to open the Network and Sharing Center in Vista, it just crashes and hangs. Sometimes I can see the window after a while but cannot click on anything at all. It does this every time and I can reproduce it every time. The little icon in the taskbar shows that I am not connected to a network but I am and am using it right now. Any help?

Are you trying to connect to a wireless or wired network?
Hope a mod moves this to Windows. -
Moved as requested.

Reinstall Windows.
Or System Restore back to when it wasn't happening, if possible.
As a temporary solution, you can run "ncpa.cpl" to open the Network Connections control panel, which is different, but you can do most of the same stuff from there. -
I have exactly the same problem. When I go to network connection (via Start->Settings) or double click the tray icon, Vista hangs. The mouse-over information in the tray icon does not work and is not displayed anymore.
It is not possible to connect to the Internet anymore in any manner.
As well, since this error occurs, Vista hangs always in log off.
Ok, what have I done: I have installed three programms in this time: Smart FTP 3, Swisscom Wireless Unlimited Connection Software, and Mozy home backup software. I have deinstalled Mozy, but cannot deinstall Smart FTP. It hangs with an error like "Install server did not respond". -
a good read, especially the part of using "netsh" - give it a shot.
