The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

Was anyone else besides me using Filterset.G. If you were, you might have seen the notification on the update telling you that it's highly recommended you remove it. Further information about why is on the adblock website, but apparently theres lots of compatibility issues and it also hasn't been kept up with in a while.

Problem is - I removed Filterset.G like the update suggested, but now I see so many more ads. For instance, when I go to www.notebookreview.com, I never used to see the ad before continuing to NBR. As of removing Filterset.G, I see it and lots of other ads around.

What rule sets or subscriptions are you using?

I removed Filterset G and I am not noticing any ads-even on the home page here.

    I have loaded:

    Adblockrules.com
    EasyPrivacy
    EasyList+EasyElement (USA)

I'm using pretty much the same list after switching from Filterset G. However, I stick with the Easy series and do not have adblockrules.com added.

I recently changed over to using the combo-filter list, EasyPrivacy+EasyList+EasyElement. It is all three in one.
