i guess you should boot from cd manually, then? the default most likely is to boot from harddrive, and only if nothing's there, boot from cd. and there is something: freedos.

ways to enter the bios / boot from a different device: escape key while powering up, or f2, or f1, or f10, or delete, or f6.. could be about any key :) i do't have an asus, so i can't help you further. my approach would be to mash all those fx keys and such while booting (while the asus logo shows) to get it to react to something.

Well,it did enter something alright,on F2 is Aptio Setup Utility, but there arent many options there, nothing that could help solve my problem,or so i think. On escape,i can choose between two diffrent boots, but i dont know what either off them does,so i tried them both, but, still stuck on freeDOS :(
I am quite irritated by it :(

Have you tried to press F10 or F12 right after you computer turn on?

You should see the "priority setup boot options" or something like that, then choose cd/dvd, it should work straight away.
