The first is the Glass Sound Scheme, which makes the sound seem like they are made with glass instruments. The second is the Pearl Sound Scheme, which further extends the intentionally subtle design of the Vista default sound scheme with a richer, milky palate. Dreamscene Content Pack & Language Packs have also been updated.
Microsoft is expected to release quite a few Ultimate Extras this year. This one has come after a long gap ! An Extra a month would probably be better. While to some they may be useless, most actually look forward to it. They should appear on your Windows Updates anytime.

We've seen how interested MS has been in the Extras, and I won't believe it until I see it.
-
That glass sound crap sounds pretty dumb...imo. But some people might like it. Now when people ask "WHAT VERSION OF VISTA SHOULD I GET AND WHY?" You can say that Ultimate has more sound schemes!

I downloaded this last night and well yeah, it sounds perfect for the vista eyecandy

Yes i think that Ultimate is just overloaded with things that are not really needed.
Vista Home premium is by far the one that most people really need. -
So true. They've just giving us Ultimate users a better excuse to stay with it! (or to get others to upgrade ;] ) But IMO they aren't really that flash... I can't even tell the difference between stock and the Pearl sound scheme.
-
Agreed. I too have my logon, logoff, shutdown sounds off.
Only good thing about Ultimate is MAYBE Dreamscene, but still it's not worth it. That thing is a ram hog anyways. Home Premium ftw. -
Ugh...ultimate, yet vista in general. It’s called bloatware, and Microsoft seems to be a mass producer of it.
-
I think MS has got XBox users confused with high end Windows users. XBox users love faceplates and all that stuff. I'd much rather see things like a nice scientific calulator or something for Ultimate users.

I have DreamScene enabled on my Vista Business Edition. All I need kthxbye
-
It is in the automatic updates. I have attached my Ultimate Dreamscene (stillshot) and enjoy the glass sound scheme.
Dreamscene is definitel eyecandy and gets many second looks. Only with I could find a Jen Love Hewitt Dreamscene lolAttached Files:

There are 3 more packages available for download

u can get DreamScene like experience on any Windows.
and its not even a Hack or stupid illegal method.
all u gotta have is VLC.
and it OWNS Dreamscene because its Damn light. -
Note enabling the sounds is quite literally nothing different than having the default ones and doesn't even hurt you any more than if you turn them off.
I just turn them off.
Dreamscene is ok... but I rarely use it unless I am looking for something serene, and yes, it is more intensive than a picture or just my usual plain color background.
Fluff isn't my thing and Vista can be paired down to be almost as efficient as XP (moreso if you install equipvalent security software). -

Someone please upload all of the content packs of Vista Dreamscenes and we will rep you to heaven.

I love the new eye candies and sounds. It makes my laptop more enjoyable and more pleasing to the eyes with "green" nature backgrounds.

Do you like Glass or Pearl?
-
Even after changing the sound scheme, i havent really noticed it
-
I'm using the new Glass sound motif. I like how the sounds now have more body to them.
-
Is there any differences between Glass and Pearl? I can't seem to find it :/
