Has anyone tried using the new Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2? How was it in your opinion?

I've read some reviews about it and many opinions go against each other. Some said it's better than any browsers while others rate it as very poor especially in its security features.

I think i can have an unbiased opinion on this forum. :) I'm thinking of trying it. But should I? or should I just stick with my firefox?

you might as well install it so when you need to do a windows update atleast you wont' get so mad with the older version, it isn't nearly as bad as the old version

I still prefer Firefox over everything else including IE7 Beta. IE7 is still playing catchup (this goes for tabbed browsing, tabbed previews). For the ACID2 test, Safari and Konqueror remains the only two browsers that passes it (that I know of) and Opera 9 almost passes it with 1 exception (a little triangle). And Firefox and IE7 are a bit off but Firefox is quite bit ahead of IE7. IE7 is actually worse than IE6 for CSS1 believe it or not. The adblocking also does not work as claim, adblock in FF also does not work as claim (not without some tweaking).

About the ACID2 test, if you don't believe me check it out yourself at:
    ACID2
with your browsers. Safari and Konqueror gets it exact while Opera9 has one minor problem with a yellow triangle. FF1.5.01 gets some resemblance to a face and IE6 gets a giant red rectangle blob while IE7 gets this huge red blob.

Stick with Opera 9 / Konqueror / Firefox but I'd use Firefox still because of the amount of extensions it provides

can you elaborate a little on this? i'm running adblock in FF and it seems to be doing what it's claiming. is there a whole level of adblocking that i'm not taking advantage of?

I'm referring to Adblock thru userContent.css and updating Filterset.G with Adblock. But it seems flash ads, and some popups still seem to get thru, if you know how to get rid of those please share

Try IE7 beta 2 if you can. I find it OK. And I'm a web programmer. FF is great, I have it instaleld too but only for testing purposes. No harm in trying though. If you do anything else but surfing, try DevToolBar (for IE) by Microsoft, you will like it.

    Cheers,
