New driver from HP, also posted on StationDrivers

Download here from HP (Vista and Win7 x86/x64)

    Download here from Station Drivers

And FYI "newsposter" these drivers are not unofficial mallware drivers, like you said in my other post.

These drivers come directly from HP, but StationDriver has also posted them on their website.

What I am saying, and all that I am saying, that it is silly to get drivers from third party web sites when the drivers are available directly from the manufacturers.

You are going through a huge amount of mental gymnastics to justify the use of third-party download sites (all risk, no real upside). You appear to be pig-headed about having shots fired through one of your personal sacred cows and being shown that you haven't considered the downsides of your attachment thereof.

I'd have a different outlook if the third-party sites were just link aggregators. That they provide downloads that are nominally available elsewhere, refuse to warranty those downloads for suitability, integrity, or safety (they in fact warn users that they take NO responsibility for anything related to the downloads), **AND** serve up piles of click-though ads reduces their credibility. In this respect the third-party driver d/l sites are no better than pr0n image servers. Their entire rationale for being is the click-through ad revenue.

Justin on the HP topic here maintains a very nice list of up to date drivers. He only lists whql signed drivers available directly from a manufacturers web site and flat out refuses to list d/ls from third party sites. The number of people (mods included) who follow his list and thank/compliment him for his work compared to the people who follow/compliment your 'announcements' says something in and of itself.
