The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm still using a portable version of the older VLC. The new interface is kinda lame to be honest. I use VLC ONLY to play incomplete files that are still downloading (like some of the 200MB miles some of my professors post) so fast forward is better than "next".

    I hate jumping 10 seconds at a time though *shrugs*

    I miss my 2x, 3x, 8x :D

    Yeah, I don't even use VLC any more but I know a lot of forum members do, so that's why I posted.
