New update to VLC Player, version 1.0.5.
    From their webpage:
"This version is specially aimed towards Windows and Mac platforms, and brings various fixes, speed improvements and translations updates.
The Windows version benefits speed-ups from both an updated compiler (gcc 4.4.2) and codecs updates."

I am curious, why would a 64 bit version matter? Doesn't the 32 bit version run under a 64bit OS? What would a 64 bit version offer that the 32 bit one does not?
