Of course, I had to re-enter user name and password on the new computer. But it won't allow me to log in, says the user name or password are wrong, on some lesser known sites.. It works for yahoo, excite, etc but not for a couple of not well known sites.

    Any suggestions?

the problem is more likely on the website end. wait for a couple of days or call the site to find out.

Another possibility is that the site is no good, your real time scanner block the access if you run any antivirus

It's not the websites. I've emailed moderaters and they say nothing is going on there. And I know the sites are good. I have used them for many years. But I do think it may have something to do with security...just can't figure out what.

If it were the antivirus scanner, I don't think it would give me the message that my user name or password is wrong. Maybe it has something to do with cookies.....? The sites come up as usual but don't seem to recognize me properly when I try to log in.

    Oh, come on!

These are user name and passwords that I have used for over 4 years, and yes!, I tried on my old computer, where they still work!

I even emailed the moderators asking for my user name and new password and they still didn't work.

Have you reset cookies, or changed AV or firewall settings? Also, occasionally (this morning, for instance) I've run across this same issue at the Voodoo PC site - I can't log in there, but can everywhere else. Emptying the cache fixes the problem there.

Speaking of which, do you have cookies disabled for this site?
