Are there any benefits to enabling UEFI? I noticed during the disk format process it created a total of 4 partitions. Does UEFI offer any performance benefits or is this nothing more than security DRM? :hi2:

Btw, it's for my Steam gaming rig.

UEFI can potentially speed up the POST process on some boards. As well, with Windows, having UEFI means your storage will be set up with GPT, meaning support for more than four primary partitions, as well as larger sizes. For drives over 2TB in size, GPT is required, thus UEFI is required.

I don't know what "DRM" you refer to. SecureBoot is not DRM.

UEFI is the only thing I like for Windows 8 because the moment you start your computer the Windows starts to load, no waiting for POST to initialize your devices like in the past days, I would definitely enable it.

Yeah, SecureBoot is what I had in mind. I remember reading some of the Alienware forums where laptops had issues and would lock you out of the BIOS and essentially brick your system if you added an SSD.
