    New laptop. Should I get Windows 7 now?

    Getting Asus g71gx tomorrow. It comes with 64 bit Vista Premium and the free Windows 7 thing come october.

    So should I download windows 7 somewhere before I start playing around with it? If so where do I get it and does it transition easily to the windows 7 i get free in october?

    I also recommend waiting to install Windows 7 until it goes gold; it'll cost you less clean installs that way.

    There's certainly no reason why you couldn't mess around with it on a separate partition. ;)

    even I pre-ordered W7, I will download it but will wait for one week to see the feedbacks from people before installing the OS
