I finally got my hands on a Panasonic 9.5mm BluRay burner for my Lenovo U330; it is installed and functional but I am experiencing playback issues.

In Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 Ultra, Bluray playback is green, but audio is perfect. The ATI HD3450 does indeed support HD playback, and another user mentioned it could be a codec issue.

I have tinkered with quite a few settings in Catalyst as well as PowerDVD, all to no avail. I tried running AnyDVD in the background and that also failed to remedy the playback problems. What can I do to resolve this?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give to a Bluray newb!!

Have you run a program to check compatibility. Its not just a question of decoding ability with blu-ray, they are very careful about what can play their content to protect it.

What program should I run to check compatibility? It is not a ripped Bluray so that should not be the issue. I thought maybe it had something to do with HDCP and I did try running AnyDVD.

How fast is your processor? What is the cpu utilization during playback?

    P7350 @ 2ghz.

CPU usage is 24% when first starting the disk, and remains at 6-12% thereafter.

I used Cyberlink Bluray Advisor to make sure my computer supports Bluray goodness:

Wish I could help. Have you updated your video drivers recently? You may consider that. CyberLink could also be getting upset at programs like AnyDVD or whatnot, and refusing to pass video through.

Also make sure your program is up to date. I have had a blu-ray work one week then not the next. I updated the program and poof, it started working again.

    No luck :(

I tried reinstalling- got a black screen. Then I upgraded to Ultra and got the green screen with audio.

I installed WinDVD 9 and it works! Now I have to set it up with my HDTV.

Thank you everyone for your help.
