Yesterday I applied the updates from Windows Updater and today I noticed that the icons of my hidden files look kinda greyed-out. Like the MS-Word icon, instead of blue, it looks pale blue. Can somebody confirm this please. It's messing up a program that I use everyday and I need to make sure it's not just my.

    Thanks

This hasn't happened on my desktop with Vista 64bit Ultimate edition.

Did you hide the MS-Word icon? " noticed that the icons of my hidden files look kinda greyed-out. " If you want to make it blue, just unhide the icon.

No, they're not hidden. I mean the 'Show hidden files and folders' radial button is filled. I use an application that simulates Explorer with JS, I think, and now it's not showing any hidden files, the same files that Explorer is showing as pale blue. But I have Vista 32-bit Premium, so maybe our updates are not the same.
