Ok guys, someone has finally launched a
magnificent data recovery tool. It is pretty
neat. It goes by the name Lifeboat.

Lifeboat is a bootable CD that
    will detect your hardware automatically,
so you dont need to know much to use it.
You just need to have your computer connected to another,
such as a laptop, and then you can easily get your data.

And you have no connection to it? I suspect that 'someone' is 'someone' you personally know...$99.99?

by someone I mean Tugboat enterprises. The company.
Do I know the comapny. They are in the same town as I live.
That really has no matter about my post though. Lifeboat is
a cool product. For the 99$ part, that is cheaper than having
to hire a professional to do it, plus you would have it whenever
    you need it.

Or you could use just about any live linux cd for free....
Or you could buy an enclosure, put your HDD in it and hook it up to another PC...
    Both are cheaper.

Actually I think this lifeboat product looks pretty good

    now as for you:

    Noah, the notebook evangelist...
What is with this HD enclosure suggestion!!!!
Who are you!?! God's second son who was kept a secret
    becuase of his outstanding geek-ocity.

Factiod, if your haddrive happens to contain a virus on it
why would you go plugging it in to another computer where it can spread as it pleases! Then you will have 2 harddrives with screwed over operating systems. And you need to have the data that you need pulled off of both of them!

With this "lifetboat" program a virus cannot be active on the other harddrive, since it is not loaded up.

    Plesk!

    Think before thine posts

Think b4 u post too, both of you have only 1 only post count and the 1st post is to praise a company's product. Uber- suspicious. A virus affects only executables, so don't go around mixing up worms, trojans and viruses. What Noah said made sense, did u happen to know u can compress them drive into a backup image? You have no right to insult others being a geek.

The user Buraisu and FrodoTheSheepMaster are the same person registered at the same IP address according to our logs, not cool that you attacked NoahsArk a well respected community member. Editing out url to product and closing thread.

Thanks Abaxter, I edited out the url's but hadn't gotten to locking it yet. Definitely not cool attacking Noah. Obviously spam since the same user is pretending to be a different person supporting the original post. Hope they are banned for all eternity lol
