I tend to do a lot of clean installs and always disliked the amount of clicks I had to perform to install all my software. Someone tipped me Ninite. I just used it for the first time. It installed 10 programs I needed completely by itself.
Great software.

WOW never thought of looking for something like that but its GENIOUS

While I don't need it right now, it does look like a neat and useful little "app".
Have you posted it in the free software thread? -
No I haven't. Will do.

MidnightSun had this in his signature at one point (and might still have it there).
I think it's great. -
Magnificent software it is! I recommend it to everyone. So easy and simply to use.

Holy cow! +1 This thing is awesome, well in theory. I'll have to use it with my next reinstall, which I plan on soon! There's a good number of apps there that I use.
They just need to add glary utilities and virtualbox and I'm set. -

This is GREAT especially after formating and reinstalation.I usually write down the programs I have to install so I won't forget something. With this I don't even have to do that....I don't know if it works but it has office 2007 trial.People(with legit keys) cannot find that on the net since MO2010 came out.

Will it download everything first and work offline later on?

There are a couple of services/applications that offer this kind of one-click shopping and install for common applications.
However, people who use these sites/services are taking a huge leap of faith.
A few of those sites/services don't download their app installers directly from the source. They store, on their own, the apps installers and in some cases, modify them to suit the needs of the installers.
If a user wants to be damned sure that the apps they are installing are of the original, source code trees, unmodified in any way (including the deliberate or accidental inclusion of malware!), they have no choice but to go to the source web pages or ftp server of the application.
Convenience is one thing, knowing EXACTLY WHAT you are installing and doing it from a known clean and good trusted source is quite another. -
Lifehacker and (I think) download squad have reviewed this before.
Also Lifehacker has its own pack "pack" distributed by Ninite:
Lifehacker Pack 2010: Our List of Essential Windows Downloads
Ninite, Install multiple apps at once without toolbars or clicking Next.
