im trying to make a new boot disk to integrate some drivers into xp for when it installs and im having a problem.

when it asks me to insert the driver that i want to integrate which is the dell SATA driver for the vostro 1500 XP then it opens the window for you to select where the file is. well the file isnt appearing as a .inf so nlite wont reconize it and i cant put it into the install.

any advice and other pointers are more then welcome.

If the driver is an executable, extract it and go through the installation procedure. When finished, point nLite toward the installation folder.

Like Overclocker said, you'll want to find the driver in the Windows\System32 folder. It might be tough to find, but Windows should have the .inf hidden somewhere.

Depending on the setup file, you may be able to just extract it using winrar.
