How many of you don't run a page file? If you don't how much memory does your notebook have?

Windows defaults the page file to 1.5x the amount of RAM you have installed. If you have 1GB or more of memory, I would probably leave the page file at 512MB minimum/1GB max. The more RAM you have, the smaller page file you can have.

If you begin to run out of RAM, Windows will reset the page file to what it thinks best. I have 2048MB of memory in my notebook - my page file is at 512MB.
