My dv6448se wont recover after it shuts down due to low battery. After it gives me the prompt to start from a saved session it just goes to a black screen with a white cursor on the top left cornern. Instead I have to choose to erase the saved start point and reboot. The first time it happened it was not due to low battery I think. Is there any way to fix this. I dont plan on letting my laptop run out of battery but it would be nice to be able to continue a session if it does happen.

Does a manual hibernation work for you? If so, the trigger point for the low battery condition MIGHT be set too low. If it is set at let's say 5% and it tries to hibernate but runs out of power before it completes the hibernate file this might cause the issue. Try setting the trigger level hight and see if it helps.
