    Hi guys,

I've had no sound on my Samsung X60plus laptop for a week now cos I can't find a driver. The ones on the Samsung website dont work and I dont have an XP disc to install the old ones.

My sound device is - AD 1986A high definition audio with twin microphones and SRS enhanced speakers

Can someone please make me happy and find me a driver :(

    Thanks :)

u can also try this step:
. if i remember correctly, i have given u a link direct to p.u. a driver from samsung uk
    . un.install all previous drivers
    . xpand the zip file
. do not run setup direct from the main folder but the one under "funcdr" folder
    . good luck

    cheers ...

    I have previously tried this.

Thanks for all your help but I have now reverted back to XP until Samsung release vista drivers.

    :(

I'm not sure on their Vista collection yet, but DriverGuide has saved me a lot of headaches in the past. It's a huge downloadable portal linked to a huge database of drivers. I've found some weird legacy hardware floating around my house which still works thanks to the drivers I found on there.
