Have you updated Windows? There are some updates that adress sound/drivers.

finally sound on my x60plus using Vista:

hi everybody, i tried all the above in my samsung but the asus setup didnt allow me to install in the x60. So i went to the control panel uninstall the audio device and after i rescan for new devices vista installed the default microsoft drivers for the sound device and guess what : I HAVE SOUND ON MY X60PLUS USING VISTA!
so that will do for me until Samsung comes up with the official ones !

    right i fixed this..

first insert your samsung drivers cd (purple one) and close all the windows that pop up etc.. they wont work anyway

then, if you open up device manager in vista and go to sound devices, right click the 'HD device' (i forget its actual name) that is already in there and choose update driver. Navigate to 'D:\BA46-04066A' select next next next yadda yadda

and the driver should be updated!

if this doesnt work, just go through all of the folders in D: and attempt a driver update one by one.. this is because i may not have advised the right folder!

    good luck
