I have a Brother HL-6050D thermal printer connected to my custom built desktop computer.
    I am running Windows 7 32 bit.
I have the printer connected directly to the computer, not networked.
    Here's the problem:
It was working yesterday, then today it stopped working.
The computer acts like it's printing but never does.
    I never get any errors.
I checked the properties and Windows thinks the printer is working properly.
When I go into 'devices and printers' it will look normal and it is set as Default.
I haven't changed a single setting or installed anything since it was working.
I printed a test page directly from the printer and it worked.
I printed a test page from Windows and it didn't work.

    I've tried the following:
    Restarting spooler service
    Disconnect and reconnect printer
    Changing USB ports
Make sure it's the default printer.
    Reinstalling driver
Running troubleshooter (it always just restarts the spooler service)

Oh and Windows seems to think my printer is paused always, even when it's not.

Have you tried clearing the spooler folder, we have this sometimes at work..

Stop the spooler, go to C:\Windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all the files within there, start the spooler.
