    Notebook Hardware Control & Core Duo Compatibility?

    I just installed nhc on my asus V6J and it bluescreened after dat. Anyone got nhc running on their core duo setup?

    Its Centrino Hardware control (well used to be, but the same thing)

    I don't think its Core Duo Hardware control :)


    So odds are, its not going to work...

    the site says it will not work with core duo's yet. A new version will be offered for it soon.

    RMClock, an alternative to NHC, does already have support of Yonah processors.

    Btw, just read it at the froum of rmclock http://forum.rightmark.org/topic.cgi?id=6:500, posted by the author of the program:

    "Sad news: on a Core Duo, we can't decrease the lowest VID below the startup value (e.g., 0.950V) any longer. Much like on the new, AMD K8 revision E cores. It's a real pity that both companies are no longer willing us to lower the power consumption of their CPUs running at the minimal frequency " .
