Nope Ivan I didn't hear about it. Thanks.

Hi Tim!
It looks faster to me. Or am I being subjective? It loads faster.
Cheers,

Do you know if it's necessary/advidavle to uninstall the old NHC versions before using the new one? I haven't done that as of yet because I was always too lazy to reconfigure all my settings..
-
The program recommends uninstalling any older versions. When you run the uninstall from the "add/remove programs" section of control panel, it asks if you want to delete your settings. Just say no, and install the new one next. Your settings will be there just like it never changed.

Running it since yesterday. Seems to load pretty quick. Only gripe I have with it is it can't read my hard drive temp. Don't know why not as both Mobile Meter and SpeedFan were able to.
-
I don't remember what the old one would take, but this one is sitting pretty steady using 6mb of RAM. That's not too bad. I want to say the other one was more like 10, but could be wrong.

@ttupa - I love that line in your sig! So true, so true..

Yeah, I had that problem pretty bad. My girlfriend was hassling me constantly.
Maybe I brought that on because I would talk about "my potential new machine".
I spent 6 months researching, pricing, and comparing laptops.
It was totally worth it!
Now that I have payed attention, I can say that NHC does load faster at startup than it did. It was kind of clunky before the update. -
I love this program!!

Anyone tried it with a Core Duo (specifically a 8204?) I tried it a bit ago (probably beta 1 or something) and it
a) Only saw my PC as a Core Solo, not Core Duo
b) Crashed my PC with a BSOD to such an extent that I had trouble getting my PC to stay up and running, it took me about 20 reboots to manage to click uninstall quickly enough to get rid of it.
