For those of you who have the new Core Duos or are about to purchase a laptop with one, you'll be happy to hear that NHC has been updated to support the new processors.

    The latest beta update includes:

Cool! Thanks for the news flash - trying it out now...

Edit: Hmm, several BSODs on my Acer 5672. Shame...back to RMClock for me.

This isn't a huge change. Some new icons, more options, and I'm sure many bug fixes (though I hadn't seen any). I was REALLY hoping this would be the release with nVidia PowerMixer and control for my geforce. Darn.

    Still a great program!

I agree, not too many changes, but the most significant one is the added support for Core Duos.

For controlling fans, you could try i8k/i9kfanGUI. I don't know if it works for notebooks other than Dells.

Got several BSODs when used along with ASUS Power Gear. Had to boot in safemode to remove it...

Shouldn't you remove any other such program from your laptop before installing? The older versions said that when installing NHC.

Imagine the two software trying to adjust your cpu speed and like. At the same time ;)
