I actually mentioned this in another of my threads around here, but I'd like to start a new thread dedicated to this subject, so if the question seems familiar, that's why.
Anyway, my Clevo M570U-A should be here tomorrow (YAY!!!) but I'm curious, can I install Windows XP x64 on it? I know that most of you are probably going to recommend that I install Vista x64 instead, but after seeing its resource usage I have no intention of "upgrading" to Vista for a VERY long time.
If I can install x64 what problems might I face? Right now, the only possible problem I can think of would involve the video card drivers, because nVidia normally doesn't offer a 64bit driver for their Go7800GTX. I can probably get around this problem though by using 64bit drivers from here ( http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?drivers&series=90&os=2&type=1&dir=1). Theoretically, that should work.
What other drivers might I have problems with though? I imagine Windows will automatically detect most, if not all, of the other hardware, so will I even need to worry about other drivers? Does Windows XP x64 natively support blue-tooth? Because my laptop comes with the integrated blue-tooth option, and I don't know if there will be 64bit drivers available for it.
Any other problems I should be aware of? If I can't install x64 then I'll have to go out and buy a 32bit Windows XP install disc, which I'd really rather not do.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Thanks for the help qhn. Does anyone else have any recommendations? Or better yet, does anyone here run Windows XP x64 on a laptop? If so, how does it work? Any problems?

There's not point in using XP x64 right now. I have a C2D CPU too and wanted to try this, but people said that there's virtually no application out there supporting 64-bit processing, and some existing 32 bit programs will have compatibility problems... Unless you are going to using your notebook for some specific program that supports, or requires, 64 bit process , stay with XP
