Hello everybody! It's true, my fiancee's vostro 1400 will be in hibernate/standby (whichever has the power light blinking slowly) and then it will just turn on and then displays "Windows System Error- There is insufficient resources to complete
API." I just downgraded to Win XP Pro last week using the guide here. I think this may have to do with some driver issues? I know there are plenty of resources (2.2 C2D, 2gb RAm, 160gb HD, 128mb 8400m gs, etc...) Anyone seen this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

probably a RAM issue. You might try with Memtest
