All my friends and even some that build computers said to me that all of the software that is installed on my HP notebook is needed to run smoothly and should never be deleted but is this true? They did say if you want I can ask people on a computer forums to check but they said every single program that HP installed is made to make the computer run smoothly and fast without problems.

I just want to know is that I should not delete anything that HP installed in my machine right since it's required to run properly and smoothly?

No, it's not true. Maybe there are a few exceptions.
I bought a HP Elitebook 840 G2, being a professional laptop it didn't have any bloatware, but it did have some software that I don't have any use for.
The installation of Windows 7 that came with it had about 85 processes running in the background. A clean installation of Windows 10 with the drivers from HP uses about 70 processes. A clean installation of Windows 10 with drivers from Microsoft has 60 processes running.
If you're uncertain, google the program you want to remove.Last edited: Jul 23, 2016Spartan@HIDevolution and toughasnails like this. -
Well it doesn't make any sense that HP would make customers unhappy so they should be putting things to make the PC run well so everyone will be happy for years. I know HP would hate people calling and saying they have problems a lot. They might of done research for people so HP would put certain software on the PC that most like. Maybe just happened that you had a software that you didn't like but others really use that software.

So does this mean that HP doesn't care about customers? I thought they do since they don't want people to complain about there computers and how slow it is. Also goes with Dell, Lenovo, etc.

Every company does it. This is how they make money. This has been going on for 20 + years. Do they care....NO. They are in business to make money not friends.
