Less good doesn't mean its bad... whats your point.
Win 7 is obviously better its newer, has more features and support for newer hardware etc........

Doesn't mean Vista is bad at all.

    Who would expect anything else?

They need a reason for people to buy their new product.

I tried Win7 on my SZ (from MSDN AA - I'm a student) and some things didn't work - thanks Sony...
    Now I'm back on Vista.
A recovery of Vista is just as "snappy" as Win7.

If Vista works for you there is no need to change - but if people stay with their old product Microsoft doesn't make any money.
(or less as all new laptops now come with Win7)

Making 9 million dollars is less good than making 10 million.

I guess a 9 million dollar income is a failure.............

The same site that announced DX10 for XP, then had to retract it. "Less good" what the hell does that mean anyway? It's less good, but better than bad? It's so bad it's good? Better than bad it's good? Worse than nice? 4X times mediocre equals slightly less than good? The Inquirer is "Less Good" at reporting stories.

I think Windows Vista is actually pretty good. Window 7 will be a lot better.
I don't really know why Microsoft thinks so bad about Vista.

because it was a big failure in terms of user acceptance, and thus they where not making that much money they wanted, and still have to support xp which they love to have dropped.

they don't think bad about vista as an os, but vista as how it went too long internally first, and then too bad externaly in terms of acceptance.

and to the OP, well, the statement is obvious, and theinquirer loves such statements and twists and turns them to their favour. that page sucks anyways.
