    ok so by going to Msconfig boot advanced options and Number of processors

    make your pc run faster ? i have it set to 4 i have a Q6600 ? :confused:


    and the maxium memory :confused:

    Okay, first of all, this belongs in desktop review.
    Second of all, your sig is WAY TOO BIG, and you're violating several rules with it.
    And lastly, to answer your question, that will only speed up booting, nothing else. And yeah, the Q6600 is a quad core, so obviously set it to 4.

    hep's right, the sig's too large.

    since you have a quadcore, set the startup core number to "4". your boot speed will be increased, but that's about it.

    That's a myth. Setting the number of processors to "4" when you have quad core doesn't do anything at all.
