Can I pre install win2K on an HD without the computer. i'm thinking of transferring the files to the HD and then inserting it in the PC. i just picked up an old Toshiba Tecra 510CDT and the thing wont (actually cant) boot from cd. i dont have the floppy drive and no usb.

    Any ideas will help,

Hmmm... I would think it would be possible to load the installation CD contents onto a bootable partition on the drive... and then install from that partition to the main partition. But... I don't personally know how to do that.
