Hey everyone. I was wondering how many times I could use the XP Home cd key? I've heard that you can use it up to 7 times (activate on 7 different comps). Because I have this XP Home CD that've installed on my desktop before and now I want to install it to a laptop. I was just wondering if its possible before I format.

If it's OEM, it's tied forever to one computer/motherboard.

If it's Retail, you can move it to another system. But it can only be installed and activated on one system at a time.
