I'd like to boot my school's operating system in VMware in my own OS. However, the school used GPT so I can't use the stand alone converter from VMware. Does anyone know any other methods?

What are the operating systems in question? Yours and your school's. Not sure that there is a way, but pieces to the puzzle might help. :)

Fixed the problem: the drive was actually MBR, but the host OS was GPT.
