Most of my previous laptops came with very good on screen displays for volume control. However, the one that came with my Toshiba laptop leave much to be desired. I've used a program called 3RVX on previous machines and it worked great; however, it is very buggy on Windows 7 (64-bit).

    Anyone recommend other solutions?

For me, any time I bring my PC out of standby, 3RVX stops working until I manually run the app again. Also, sometimes it will just stop working if my PC has been idle for a long time even without being in standby. I'm tired of continually having to start the program over and over again.

I love 3RVX when it is working!
