Hey all,
Using objectdock and I think it's awesome but there is a problem.
Off to the right where the programs that are minimized are displayed, I notice that sometimes I close programs but there is still an empty black space there where the icon was. If i wave my mouse over that space, it will display the name of the program that was previously there.
Nothing happens if i click on it but it wno't go away either.
Objectdock plus, vista 32, plenty of ram etc.
Also it has crashed a couple of times, hopefully that's only because i just put it in and am still tweakiing it alot.

cheers ... -
hey pokerpot
does this happen almost every time you open WMP and then close it?
and does it sometimes happen when you save something in notepad?
Finally do you have a fingerprint reader?
this was happening to me as well at one point. Up until i disabled my fingerprint scanner. -
1.) Never use WMP. Happens most often with firefox, though could be because I use that program almost more than anything else.
2.) Just tried to save something in notepad and it didn't happen.
3.) Yes have fingerprint reader. Wonder what the correlation is. -
hey pokerpot,
I think it has something to do with the security of vista. What I can gather is that allowing a program to interact with the way a program minimizes/maximizes may be considered a threat.
However, disabling the fingerprint reader had also freed a significant amount of RAM as well as CPU activity. For this reason, I have no regrets doing so! -
Interesting.
Wish it worked perfectly considering I'm using the paid version.
Seems a little buggy but I still love it so won't complain too much.
So for me the bugs = minimized programs either disappearing, or appearing to the right even after they are closed. Lose docklets from time to time. And it closes from time to time. Since I started with the free version then installed the paid one over it, I might just uninstall and redo everything and see if that helps at all.. Who knows.
