Hey guys, I know this isn't the objectdock help forum but I know many here use objectdock so I was hoping you could help me.

I have objectdock on my computer, see here http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=3312681&postcount=3009

My problem is that I cant figure out how to get certain utilities like a battery monitor or wifi monitor into the doc itself. I guess what I mean is that I dont know how to link certain things to the icon itself.

I hope that makes sense and I appreciate the help.

ok, just an iCON? are teh actual UTILITY?..

u can drag ANY icon into the object, from your desktop. or start. but you wont get an actual utility workin in there...lets say, like cpu meter...

If you're asking if you can add utilities like you'd find in Vista sidebar to the dock, the answer is no. If you're asking about creating shortcuts to such software, then just drag the shortcut icon to the dock to create a new shortcut for it there.

I see what you guys are saying.

Certain things though I cant drag. Like the battery meter within windows xp, or the volume icon. I would like to have easy access to those things within the dock.

If I cant drag those items into the doc, is there a way to create an icon that opens those utilities? Thanks

I noticed your taskbar is missing. So you are trying to add your system tray stuff into Object dock right?

you might be able to get docklets that show the functions you need from objectdock site

just go to the website, and browse, they have docklets for everything. its a hassle, in a way, but its worth it when u find an icon u like.
