Anyone else get this kinda error. I always see it crashing then i go to task manager. Once it's hits ~1GB it'll just well crash. I have 4GB as i'm running an x64 system. 1GB for a game isn't that bad imo considering w/o oblivion running i have ~3GB free. So why is oblivion doing this @.@

It's possible for an application to use up all of its ~2GB virtual address space (or 4GB if Oblivion supports it) while only using 1GB of memory.

Also, sufficient memory fragmentation in the application's address space can also cause memory allocations to fail if a large enough contiguous memory block cannot be found.

But neither of these sound particularly likely - it might just be a bug in the game (or a driver, seeing as Win7 drivers might not be completely stable yet). Make sure you're running with the latest patches and don't have any mods running that could crash the game.

All the mods i have enabled are more about weather effects and i've yet to see one person complain about the weather messing with them. I also patched it up to the latest version according to bethesda. Hmm i just find it strange that it'll crash for no reason out in the wild. but didn't crash when i through down ~200k repair hammers then fired a fireball into it all. I was bored and was wondering the limits of bethesdas engine.

uhm... not yet but i'll try it out. Also on a sidenote. I'm unable to find my oblivion.ini file. Yet oblivion still manages to change the settings. No file but it can still do it strange is all i've got to say.

edit:i've tried it out and it says 100% a OK good to go :/.
