I recently switched over to 32-bit Vista Ultimate (64-bit is still a hassle for software and drivers, any way you look at it), and I've started to have a bit of trouble with flash videos...

The issue is that any time I full screen a flash video, about 20 seconds to a minute after, it'll start stuttering both in audio and video. I've updated all my drivers, including audio, video, and chipset drivers.

I'm at a complete loss at this point, so if anyone out there has had the same issue, or has any experience with a similar issue, your input is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reinstalling Flash or trying a different browser? The version of flash you are running is probably causing CPU spikes after 20 seconds to a minute of playing.

When this happens, go into the task manager and see who's taking up the cpu. It's possible for example that something is running like a windows update, a virus checker, etc.

I've tried re-installing flash, and I do have the latest version. I've been using firefox the entire time... don't really want to use IE or Opera and the like.

I opened up task manager though, and you are right. I'm getting CPU spikes when the video starts to slow down.

How would I go about fixing that? It's definitely not any other program... it must be flash.

About stuttering in video, try this, right-click on a flash video, select Settings..., then uncheck the box for Enable hardware acceleration and see if it makes any difference. I noticed that some video drivers don't work well with Flash.
