    Hey there

I recently installed Windows 7 64bit Home Premium after having the RC1 build 7100 on my laptop.

But I have a couple of issues with Win 7.

    1. Any changes I make to the power profiles, including those I make in the advanced settings of the power options, do not save. The profile (High Perfomance) resets itself to the default settings on each restart.

    2. The F1 help isn't correct. It appears to be missing lots of stuff and is generally broken. For example when I press F1 on my desktop I get a page that says __elbasuer__ at the top and goes on to talk about Microsoft SpyNet. And when I navigate through the links for categories, such as the power options, I end up in a dead end with a "this page cannot be found" type of message.

I don't have any viruses on the laptop, I've done a few sweeps with various spyware/malware/anti-virus apps (malwarebytes, spybot, AVG) and the install is only a couple of weeks old.

Would anyone be able to advise me on what I should do, I'd rather not do a clean install as I'll have to reinstall all the apps I've installed, would an in-place upgrade install be a way to fix these issues?

Thanks in advance for any help on these two issues. :)

Do you have any of the HP software still installed? I'm not sure about the power settings, but regarding the help being broken, mine broke after installing HP Active help from their website. If you installed it, uninstalling it won't help, I had to do a system restore to fix it. If you upgraded, not sure what you can do besides a clean install.

Er sorry slight bit of miscommunication there by HP I mean Home Premium, not Hewlett Packard. My bad.

I didn't do an upgrade, I did a clean install, although I already had Win 7 RC1 on the same partition and I didn't format the partition as I have stuff on it that I couldn't move to somewhere else.
