I was wondering if anyone her has tried the Office 2007 pre release.
I got an invite to try it but I really don't know if it is worth it, I am really happy with 2003 version.
Any imput from Beta testers who have been using it or has any information as to how it compares with 2003;please share any knowledge.

i played with it for a couple days.

it's totally different than any previous versions. the standard file/edit/view menu is gone and it's all tab based.

it's a risky move on microsoft's part because there is no graceful learning curve; there's going to be some work involved getting used to the new interface (think of all those millions of cube jockeys who use computers everyday, but are not computer savvy). if you don't work in software support, then be thankful you're not going to have to answer all the questions when companies finally upgrade.

    Thanks for the links.
I installed it today and it is running with my 2003.
Only problem I have had is with Outlook.
On the computer I am using it on has Nod32, it makes Outlook crash, it will not bring up cal or add; I changed to Kaspersky and its ok.

A lot of new templates in update, it takes you to a beta2007 office update, looks a lot like the office update for 2003 but it has a different interface.I used Word and Excel today for about 3 hours and had no problems, it seems pretty stable so far. ..................................

Yes, thanks for the link nathanhuth! This is actually one product from MS I'm kind of looking forward to. Looks like they are finally integrating some of the interface features that they've always held in reserve for the Mac version. :)
