when I open MS word, and click on Open (Ctrl O), there is that "Open file" window and it has icons as shortcuts on the left side....and I would like to change the icons, and add some of my own if thats possible...and the same window is in Vista when e.g. you are using your browser, you want to add and attachement to your email (when using a webmail), you click "Browse" and you get similar window with icons on the left too....and I would like to change those too....where can I do that? I know its somewhere in registry, but I was unable to locate it nor to find it with google (solution to this)...cant quite grab it by the right name

I have been wondering same thing. I would love to add few of my own project folders there. But I'm using WinXP so this isn't just Vista (or Office) issue.

What I got so far -
Okay, I did find some solutions.
1) in Office 2007 you can add your own shortcuts by first going to the folder you want to add and then right click on the shortcut bar and select the first option (Add "Folder" or something)
2) this link will explain how to add own shortcuts to the standard Windows open dialog.
