I've had problems putting Excel worksheets in Word before, but none so bad. The same thing happens regardless of whether I link to file or embed. Take a look at the screenshot. The tables look horribly pixelated. However, if I double-click on one to edit it (if it's embedded), it looks fine. That's because what's listed as 100% in object size is not actually 100% but something more like 110. I have to play guess-and-check with 90-95% to make it not pixelated. However, it refuses to make width and height the same percentage. Let's say I put in 95% width. If constrain proportions is checked, it'll change height to 95%. If it's not checked, I'll just put in 95%. I click ok. (There's no apply button anymore.) It still looks messed up. I go to object properties again, and what do I see? Height is at 96% and width, at 106%. The difference between the two is always 10%. Arrg! So, has anyone been able to fix that?

In Office 2003, working with embedded Excel sheets was always a pain in the ass. However, I find in Office 2007, everything is much smoother.

I'm not sure what is causing the pixelation if the size is set to 100% in the object properties. Try clicking the reset button on the size tab of the object properties.
Otherwise, copy the data from the Excel sheet and then in Word do a paste special as HTML format. This will basically place your data into a table in word - no pixelation
