Is it just me, or does the customization of the Office 2010 Ribbon suck, badly? For example, I can add a custom group, but the size in which the various buttons appear may change randomly, depending on the size of the window, and the size of other ribbon groups. On top of that, many icons are only available in one size, small, so if the program in question decides to display that button with a large icon, you'll get a horribly pixelated image. It appears that ribbon customization is really half-baked in Office 2010. At the very least, what would be needed is a way to fix the size of a custom group that is added to the ribbon. Anyone found a way to do that? The built-in ribbon elements do appear with a fixed size after all...

there are several freeware/shareware ribbon editors for O2010 out there. Bing search is your friend.

And yes, the built-in tool from msft sucks, but do remember that user customization of the Office ribbon bar is kind of new, officially intro'd in O2010.

Thanks for the pointer, I'll look into that. However, a quick first glance did not look to promising. Have you used any of these? Anything that's easy to use?
