Can anyone suggest me a COMPREHENSIVE Microsoft Office Tutorial CD that allows me to practice using the real software and not just sit and watch like some of the tutorial CD do?

What is there to watch and learn? The built in help is quite adequate. If not, then simply search for what you want to findout in google.

Or you can get one of those beginners books out there (like office for dummies).

You might have seen this on some info-mercials. I know it might sound crazy, but I used to have this CD from the same dude that teaches it very very well. It was detailed and pretty in depth. The good thing its a video so you don't have to go buy books and read them.
