no not yet they are not included should be tues coming up from what everyone is saying..

Have you guys seen the article from a reviewer who got SP1 beta.
http://apcmag.com/6929/vista_sp1_in_depth
That actually makes SP1 look promising.
-
Yes, it does looks promising. Perhaps this will be the true Windows Vista RTM that should be released. Btw, the article does not mention anything on application compatibility with SP1 beta.
-
Anyone know when this will be available through Windows automatic update?
-
Weird, I just checked Windows Update and there are 12 updates that need to be installed, but the two mentioned in this thread were NOT included.
Anyone know why?
-
Must still be problems to sort out, they screwedup my media center
-
Hmm... Just downloaded the updates. See no real difference...
Amount of memory being used is still the same..
Edit. No wonder. They didn't include the updates that are on the front page...
Guess I'mma need to manually install them. -
Thanks for posting this!
-
8 new important updates for me today, but the two listed in post #1 are not included.
-
Same here, I had 10 important updates. None of them had the front page updates.
-
Yeah, not included. I saw RAM use drop maybe 1 or 2 percent, but nothing significant. But I'm sure these fixes do fix things for people who are having hardware compatibility issues, just look at the long list of fixes for specific things.
-
My RAM usage went from 52% to 38%...a very noticeable decrease.
-
^^Lucky. I manually d/led the updates and nada.
-
How much RAM do you have? 1GB?
-
So download both and manually install them?
-
Yeah, that works just fine.
-
If they don't appear in the windows update then yes you should go and manually download and install them like most users (myself included) have done.
FYI when you download the 2 of them you will have to restart vista twice as you can only install 1 update at a time and each of them requires a restart after the installation... -
Ok cool. I installed one of them and restarted. I will install the other one later.
One the main problems I hope gets fixed is that my drivers kept saying one of them stopped responding and either my game froze until it came back or the game crashed. It happened quite a lot.
EDIT: Big surprise. It only made the problem occur more often. Jesus... -
I don't think so. Those still must be beta phase as they're not officially included in Windows Update for everyone to download. Otherwise, why would Microsoft not include them in official Windows Update??
-
There are a number of updates(hotfixes) that microsoft releases that never go to windows update. For instance the XP dual core hotfix, you have to download and install that manually it doesn't come via windows update yet it is perfectly stable and it isn't a beta update. I say this to say don't just rely on windows update alone. Quite a few of the tech webpages have said these updates are safe.
-
2 GB, obviously I need to make it bigger in my sig, lol.
I run Vista x64 as well, if that makes a difference. -
Showed up in my windows update today. Installed both and only had to re-start the machine once. Physical memory usage is now down to about 36-38% from an average of about 50% prior to the update. So far so good.
Official update is available that improves the compatibility and reliability of Windows Vista
