    Oh damn,,, I deleted my recovery partition

    Hey, I just installed windows 7 enterprise on my new laptop because i wanted to get rid of the junk software that came as defualt with my laptop. When i was installing it i just deleted all the partitions to save space for my new OS.

    The problem is now I need to download the drivers from the sony website one by one ! I need the old windows back but I deleted it,, what can i do!?

    My model number is VPCCA2Z0E/G

    So what's the problem? You need to download the drivers one by one...

    If you need to do a recovery, Sony will probably be happy to sell a recovery DVD to you for like, 20 bucks.

    If you have an Internet connection with this notebook, probably you can get most of the missing drivers via Windows Update.

    I hope you backed up or copied data you wanted to save. If this is just an improvement to get rid of the bloatware like you are saying than there is no real problem. I recently upgraded from XP Pro to 7 Pro. It was a pain putting on all those drivers but the computer works great. A week later I did the same with our Toshiba Vista computer and it was much easier just downloading the Toshiba driver download manager and running it saved allot of time.

    I do this all the time. My SSD has no recovery partition and I just move it between each laptop I buy.

    For you, just use Windows Update to get as many drivers as it can and then go to your manufacturer's website (or Google) for additional drivers you might need.
