    Dear friends
My laptop originally came with windows 8 and after Microsoft released win8.1 i upgraded my lap to 8.1
Then i realised my god what have i done. My video card is not working even though i updated its software and many other facilities like skype and my precious games.
Then two months ago i reset my lap to factory settings so then it has downgraded my OS to win 8. And i put my windows updates to "let me choose what to download and install " option.
Now without my permission windows has upgraded again to win 8.1
I was actually pretty much amazed to see. I haven't gave any order to upgrade it.
So im gona do another factory reset.
What shall do to permanantly stop upgrading this win8 to win 8.1?????
    Please help me

You can still get it to work right if you upgrade your drivers before upgrading, you must upgrade video drivers, WLAN, and Bluetooth, those are very sensitive it seems and would break Windows 8.1 if the correct drivers are not installed.

Windows 8 and 8.1 are 2 different OSes

Make a list of your components by looking in Device Manager

Like tell me what is the video card, what is the exact model of the LAN, WLAN, and Bluetooth Chipsets, Audio, etc.

list them all, and I will find you the right links with updated drivers from DELL

instead of relying on dell to get driver up for win8.1, you can get most drivers from the device manf site, or compatible one off from other dell machine.

With computer getting old in at least 6 months that would be a prudent thing to do after saving the original drivers then getting the updated drivers from the manufacture this way you have two backup drivers just incase.

This driver should work: Mobile, straight from AMD.
